Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her debut in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. In 1989 she played the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and started to model. Doody then began to build her career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour and naked work, a rule that was extended to her acting profession. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the casting director. Doody was listed within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody was only 18 when she made her first appearance in the Bond role. To date she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played the role of Archibald's wife, Lilias, in his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. The episode aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn France and Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as The Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. Doody was a co-star with Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation from King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and also in the British TV show Waking the Dead (in a two-part series known as. in 2010 Doody was a character of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November 2018, she won the Almeria tierra de Cine Award as well as a star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
