Aisha Hinds, an American actor best recognized for her roles on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her appearance on the show in 2003 she has demonstrated her range in acting making outstanding appearances on TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The role she played in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to attract her attention. Following that she received great acclaim for her portrayal in Chokher Bali (2003) a tense drama inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's classic novel. It was her first Indian to make it onto the jury for the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan made an appearance on screen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That's when Bachchan added her star-power and a beautiful face to her first important English-language film. In 2006, Bachchan made her return to Bollywood with the hit film Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story in English. Abhishek Bachchan was a frequent actor, and was the son of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007, she married the actor. This union brought together two powerful Indian personalities.
